Panagiota Sapouna was born in 1985 in Athens. She holds
a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the Athens University of Economics and
Business (2006) and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the same
university (2008). She is currently completing her Ph.D. thesis at the
Athens University of Economics and Business in International Business and
Strategy. Her research has been already assessed by an international
committee of specialists, as selected among the best ten to be presented in
the 36th European International Business Academy Conference, held in Porto,
Her research interests revolve around International Business, Strategic Management, Mergers and Acquisitions and International Human Resource Management.
Panagiota’s publications include one paper in the International Journal of Human Resource Management (ABS 3*) and 10 papers in international conferences such as the European International Business Academy Conference and the Academy of International Business Conference. As a member of the Laboratory of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Athens University of Economics and Business she has participated in a number of research and consultancy projects funded by private and public firms.
At present, she is working on several papers which will be soon submitted to
top management journals and on cross national research projects with
colleagues from the university of Glasgow (UK), University of Vaasa
(Finland), and University of Padova (Italy).
